Work yesterday was less than stellar. I was BORED to tears for much of the day. I had run out of work to do the day before around 10:30 and it never picked up again until after 11:00 yesterday.

So, I did some scanning, which is the LAST thing I like to do, but needs to be done on occasion.

The problem with scanning is that it takes TEN mouse clicks, getting up out of my chair twice, and physically adding the scanned papers to the paper file. For EACH item. So, at times, I can have four, five, or even six items PER client. Times that by the 50 or so clients, and I am clicking my mouse approximately 500 times, getting up out of chair 20 times, and opening paper files 50 times. Makes for a SLOW and tedious process. Ever wonder WHY I leave this job for when I am REALLY bored? I hate it.

I think I did about half of the scanned papers when it came lunch time and then after that, Bossy Man started sending me files to transcribe, so I was saved from the monotony.

Dave texted me and told me he was on his way home from Canada. They had gotten their limit in ducks. I asked him how many WE get, since they had around 35 ducks and I said that I would be happy if he just got two.

He came home with 29 ducks for me!!!!

29 frickin ducks!!

What on earth am I going to do with 29 ducks???

I was planning on roasting one for this weekend.

After that, no clue.

I guess one guy took four ducks and no one else in the party wanted any, so Dave got stuck with them. And, now, I am stuck with them in my deep freeze.

So, I got home from work and went to take care of my doggies.

I just have to say one thing: The excitement over the fact that my garage door openers works again has NOT worn off yet. I LOVE it!! It's been well over a year since it worked (thanks, hubby!!) and I still just love to push that damn button. On the other hand, I only have one remote (again, thanks, hubby) and I was outbid for the one I was trying for on Ebay. I need to find another one to bid on. Unfortunately, my opener takes only certain kinds of remotes and sometimes the people don't list the exact model number, so that removes a large portion of the available remotes. They may LOOK the same, but they are not compatible. Sucks to be me, right? LOL

Okay, where was I? Oh, yeah. Dave was home so I went over there. He was happily surprised to see that I had cider stew cooking in his house when he got home, AND the house decorated for Halloween. He is set!

We sat around and he talked about his trip and I listened. I heard every little detail about each day of hunting, and I have to admit, I found myself zoning a bit. hee hee hee Hunting stories only go so far with me, but I understand his need to talk about it.

Sam and the kids were to come over at 7:00 last night, but by 8:00, I never heard from her, so I called her. She said they were not coming due to Tanner being too fussy. That was fine, but it would have been nice to have known that earlier since I was putting off other things I wanted to do in order to be around when they showed up. Whatever. I guess people think that once you get to a certain age, you have no life anymore, so it doesn't matter and you are always available.

Anyway, so we just ate dinner together, Dave and I, and then chatted the rest of the evening until it was time to go home and take care of the doggies. I came back and we watched TV until I was falling asleep on the couch and I went to bed. End of story.

Woke up this morning earlier than normal (probably because I went to bed earlier) and got my ass in gear for work. Dave texted me that he had coffee on so I went and had coffee with him and was, as a direct result, late for work this morning. But I had been early each day this week, so one day being a bit late was not a problem. And the Bossy Man never knew the difference. No calls. No emails. Nothing from him as of yet.

I hope that he does not wait until the last minute to get stuff done, as he does every other Friday. Okay, now WHY do I think that things will be different today? LOL

Okay. Got other things to do, so I better get my butt moving.
