<< things are busy, but that seems to be the norm lately. >>

Yesterday was a good day. I worked, of course, and it was a heavy typing day but I got everything done that needed to be done and also some extra stuff such as the research into why Bossy Man billed so much on a certain day that was driving my district manager nuts. She was all up in arms about the billing, but it was easily explained since I had to re-enter nearly a month's worth of time into a single day under a different billing line on a client. It's all due to state regulations that if file goes over $3500, the file automatically get billed at a lower rate. So, since the file went WAY over and no one in the Cities caught it, I had to reenter time. And the system is build such that I cannot back date anything. Hence, all the time got billed under one day, and when the District Manager saw that Bossy Man had billed over 30 hours in one day on ONE client, she blew a gasket. After she chewed out Bossy Man over that one day's worth of billing, and finally asked ME what the deal was, she calmed down and realized it was all good. But, it still took time to research it and find out what the hell she was upset about.

Anyway, so that's done. And I got all my work done. And I was just waiting for invoices, which came in this morning. So, I can finish scanning and emailing reports this morning and I have nothing else to do.

For now, anyway.

Bossy Man was to be in this morning to bug me. Okay, that's not the real reason why he was coming in today, but it's just a side effect of his being here.

:-)

However, after having one too many cups of coffee with Dave, making me about ten minutes late for work, and panicking because Bossy Man was to come in this morning EARLY, I see a message on my answering machine. I KNEW it was from Bossy Man, and I was right. He's sick again. The man is ALWAYS sick. So, he will not going to be here this morning and I have to reschedule his appointment with a client.

Too bad.

So, my panic about being late was for nothing. In fact, I could have come back home and no one would even have known.

So, I took the extra time I have today and I changed my insurance policies for my home and car. I have WAY too much insurance and I am paying WAY too much, so I got everything lowered and I think I will be saving roughly $65 a month on that bill. That's always nice.

I knew I was paying too much but hate to deal with insurance people, so have procrastinated horribly on changing anything.

Dave told me that my policy was probably online and since locating the policies was also a reason for procrastination, I got the info, checked everything out, called my friendly neighborhood insurance agent (yes, he IS my neighborhood agent, since he lives about two blocks from me) and got everything lowered and I can cross THAT off my list of things to do.

And have immediate savings. Yeah, I'm all about THAT.

Okay, enough insurance talk. It's too stupid, really.

So, last night, I went to Wally World after work. Picked up some stuff I needed, including materials for my NEXT craft project. I am nearing completion of the afghan I am making for Dave, so it's time for the next thing.

I am making a Swedish Weaving blanket. I think I am going to see if I can sell it online and find out what people are willing to pay for a unique handcrafted blanket.

I bought the monk's cloth, went home and sewed the edges so they don't unravel and washed it. It's all set to go and now I just need a cool pattern and off I will go.

I also got all my stuff together to go to the Warrier's game tonight. It's gonna be a COLD one so I wanted to make sure I found a hat and gloves and make sure that my winter coat is in good shape. I also found my stadium seats so I don't have to put my butt down on cold bleachers. I am all set!!!!

I will only have a half hour to get myself home, take care of my animals, and get my butt back over to Dave's before Doug and April come to pick us up for our trip to Alexandria for the game. We are going to eat there at this Mexican restaurant which Dave raves about, having eaten there many times because he used to live in that town.

then it's off to the game.

We are actually supposed to get snow tonight and maybe tomorrow, so I also took in my garden hoses so they don't freeze and split.

I then had the rest of the evening to do whatever I wanted to, so I finished up a DVD, watched some DVR'd items and took a hot bath and crocheted. Not at the same time, however.

I went over to Dave's around 9:45 to meet him when he came home about ten minutes later. We visited, stayed up WAY too late and finally got to sleep around 12:30 or so.

Which makes for a short night's sleep and, yes, I did swear at my alarm when it went off this morning.

Got my butt moving and got ready for work then headed back over to Dave's for coffee. I had to wake him up and I was bouncing so much since I am a MORNING person that he had to get up and join me. Otherwise I think I would have driven him nuts!!!

So, that brings me up to date. Sitting at work, with nothing to do other than getting these reports out the door.

it's gonna be a LONG day.

I have some plans for the weekend. Dave wants me to go up to Birch Lake with him tomorrow. They are closing up the cabin up there for the winter and they need to get the pontoon and dock out of the water. And Dave wants to bring his motor home back to his house so he can winterize it. I wanted to make some new curtains for it, too, so I will have plenty of time and access to that. He wants me to ride with him so I will most likely do that.

sunday, I have been invited to Sam's house for dinner for Matt's birthday. So, I will be doing that. Oh, and there's a bonfire scheduled for tomorrow night.

So, yes, the weekend is getting full already.

Fun times to be had by all!!!

Have a good one. No nap day for me!!!
