Okay. It doesn't take much to make me happy.

I just got an email from an editor of an alternative newspaper in MN. He (the photographer, editor, website admin, and all around one-man show) was at Moondance and took pictures of Dave and I. I have been waiting patiently for MONTHS to see these pictures appear on his website, but, as he states, he is old and it takes him a while to get around to updating the website. Too funny!!

So, finally, I sent him an email to ask him about the photos and when and if I could view them online.

The man was kind enough to send me the pictures directly and stated which one he was going to use in his paper.

So nice!!!

The pictures turned out cute and Dave and I are so pretty!!! LOL

Okay, I'm wearing bunny ears and Dave is wearing his hoodie with the hood up, but still, we look adorable.

I really should post them here, but that's pretty much beyond me at the moment. No caffeine in me yet.

Moving on...........

My district manager came in yesterday. She wanted to talk to me about working from my home. She said it was totally up to me, whether I did it or if I did, the timeframe for moving. So, I have total control over that. I talked it over with some friends and it seems like a great idea so I am going to go ahead with it. I just have to figure out time to get my home office cleaned out AND my current office stuff sorted through. I am NOT taking everything with me. Just my desk, the file cabinets, the copier, and the bookshelf. Everything else will be gone.

I also talked with the DM about Bossy Man. She was asking some questions about his work and, not being able to lie, I answered her questions truthfully. Probably not what she wanted to hear, really. She was not too happy with some of the things going on, such as state forms sitting on my desk for MONTHS, waiting for something from Bossy Man. I told her that I remind him about these things, but seeing as how I am not his MOTHER, I don't know what else I can do. She assured me that she will make sure that Bossy Man understands that SHE asked me for this info, and I did not volunteer it. All I need is for Bossy Man to get all pissed at me for telling the DM about his activities, or lack thereof.

So, after she left in a pissy mood due to all the fines that Bossy Man will incur from the state over these missing forms, my stomach was in knots, just thinking about how ticked off Bossy Man will be at me.

But, like I said, Marilyn said she would make sure he knew that SHE asked for the info and I had to give it to her. Nothing I could do about it.

I then ran to the new bakery in town that was having their grand opening. They were having a special, a dozen donuts for $1.99. So, I wanted to go get some.

Okay. Not so good. They had a wait of an hour and half to get the donuts. They were so far behind. They had made 90,000 donuts and they ran out and that was before 9:00 a.m.!! The employees were so frazzled, I felt sorry for them. So, I ended up getting a raincheck, which actually is a better deal than the one day of cheap donuts. The raincheck states I can get two dozen for that price anytime between now and Saturday. So, I'm happy with that.

Because, as you all know, I really NEED that extra fat in my diet.

After work yesterday, I went tanning and then called April and told her I was coming down to see her and bring her an apple pie.

We visited for a little bit. We are getting things ready for the Halloween party at Dave's house. And for the weekend that we go apple picking. Oh, and for tomorrow night, when we all go to the Brainerd Warriers football game in Alexandria, which is about an hour and half from here. It is going to be SOOOO damn cold. I need to figure out what to bring to wear, otherwise I will just freeze. We are all going out to eat first, so that will be fun.

Oh, I got invited to Dave's mother's birthday party the NEXT weekend. I am not sure whether I will go or not. She seems to be the type of woman who will not accept any woman as being good enough for her baby son. So, knowing that, I can deal with her and I am not insulted when she snubs me. So, whatever. But, that does not mean I want to go to this party. I suppose I will have to. To make Dave feel good. and I need to interact with his family sooner or later.

Even though DAVE did not want to go meet MY family last weekend at the wedding.

I could play that one out for a while, but I think I will be a good sport and go hang with his family for a bit and see how things go.

Whatever.

I have gotten all my money saved up for the actual trip to Mexico already. Dave and April were surprised that I already had the cash. They haven't even thought about how to pay for THEIR trips yet and I have all mine already done. Now all I have to do is save up whatever spending money I want to bring with me. I want to hit the market, so I hope to have a bit of cash for that. And the day exploring the pyramids is probably going to cost around $100 alone, just in the travel expenses and tipping alone. But seeing as how I have two months to put together the rest of the money, I think I am fine.

Tonight is going to be another at home night. Dave has another appt out of town, late, so I will be spending the time cleaning and working on my own stuff. last night I vacuumed, did laundry and scrubbed the shower out. And crocheted. And read my book for a while once I went over to Dave's to wait for him to come home.

Tonight will be much the same.

Okay. I have work to do. Gonna try my hand at that now.
