Wow!! Do I have stuff to do here at work?

Why, yes, I do.

So, why am I online, adding an entry to my diary?

Well, because I can.

Yeah. I hate missing days here and so I will do a quick entry and call it good.

Yesterday, I was uber busy at work and managed to get a large amount done.

Then Bossy Man called me and said, "Don't panic." Which is his nice way of saying he is going to throw a whole shit load of work on me.

And he did.

But, as he said, he will be leaving me alone for the next two days, and will be on the road, so no more files will be coming my way.

So, basically, what I have in my inbox this morning is all I am going to get until Monday.

That's perfectly fine with me. There is plenty there to keep me busy until well into tomorrow.

Unless I work quicker than I think I can.

Who knows?

Anyway, after work, I ran to Target to get my niece's wedding gift. A toaster. I know, not original. But it's the one she wanted and her gift registry really was not that large. I suspect she is going to get a lot of cash!!

So, a four slice toaster. Whatever.

But adding the $4 wrapping paper and the $3.50 card (I had to get her a funny one, cuz, well, cuz that's what I do) and you have an expensive toaster.

Then I met up with Dave at Wally World because he had to get a gift for his granddaughter and he wanted my help. She actually called and we talked for quite some time while we were in the toy department. So, she helped us out with what she wanted. Then she asked if it was going to rain today.

Why would she ask that?

Well, her mom doesn't work if it's raining and she wanted to come and see Grandpa!!!

So, they might come to our little town today. Because, guess what? It's raining!!!

I haven't met her mother yet, but Michelle and I had a great time together at her cousin's birthday party last month. She's the oldest grandbaby and she absolutely LOVED me. Yeah, I know that sounds arrogant, but she had to have me sit with her for lunch, and she had to have me take her to the bathroom, and she had to have me play with her on the playground equipment, and she wanted so badly to come home with me. So, I think I made the correct assessment there. Anyway, I really hope they can make it today. Dave told his daughter that if she comes to visit in the afternoon, then she can meet me and I can play with Michelle.

So, we shall see.

Anyway, then we headed to the bath accessories in the store and we picked out a new shower curtain, and had to get all the matching stuff. The lotion dispenser, the toothbrush holder, the towels, the bath mats, etc. Dave was so happy to get something in that bathroom that was HIS taste and not his ex-wife's. I really don't get her taste at all. It's really quite odd. Dave told me that this was the first time that HE was consulted on what HE wanted in his own house. That's kinda sad. He was having so much fun picking out all this stuff and he said he wants to do one room at a time and get it all changed to HIS taste.

Then we came home, made dinner and relaxed.

Doug wanted to have a bonfire so we went ahead with that. April came down, too, and she told me all about her trip to New York. She brought me back a chocolate candy bar from a specialty shop in New York. That was so nice of her!!!

We discussed the Halloween party that we are throwing. It should be fun. Dave really wants to decorate the yard up spooky, so that will be my job. I also need to get invitations because we are going to do this right and actually formally invite people instead of just calling them.

I am coming up with different ideas on what I want to do for decorations and I think Dave will be happy with my choices. The planning will be as fun as the actual party!!!

I went to bed at 10:30 and was asleep immediately.

Dave had coffee for me this morning and it turned out the guys stayed out at the fire until after 1:00. Silly guys!!! It sounds like they had fun, though.

Okay. Well, I need to get back to work now. This was a long enough break.
