<< Pushing me into a serious relationship. Too silly, April!! >>
2009-09-24, 7:09 a.m.

Well, Blogtools never came back online and Haloscan was really goofy, so I found a free comments app that I quickly added to my diary. I don't really like it, but it's a quick fix for now.

Yesterday, work was pretty good. I managed to get some extra stuff done and managed to read some of my book.

Dave stopped by for a few minutes and since I didn't know he was coming, I had to take care of a few things before I could go out and have a smoke with him so he got to see me at work for a change. I always hear him on the phone for HIS job, but he never gets to see me in action.

For all that's worth, anyway.

After work, I went home. I was tired so I laid down for a bit and took a short snooze. Then I got up, showered and headed over to Dave's so we could meet Doug and April to go out for dinner. It was Doug and April's 7th year anniversary of when they met, so we were celebrating.

Good food and good company!!

Then we headed back to Dave's to have a bonfire. It was a really short one for me since I wanted to be in bed by 10:00 and I nearly made it. It was a bit closer to 10:30, but I fell asleep so quickly, I know I got enough sleep to face this day.

So, April is getting kinda weird. She made a reference first that the house next to hers is for sale and Dave and I should move in.

THEN she said that Dave and I can get married in HER backyard and it will save us a ton of money.

Okay? What?

Are we ready to move in together?

NOPE!!

And are we even THINKING of getting married?

Ummmm....not the last time I checked.

I don't know why she is in such a hurry for Dave and I to progress to that point.

I know, for one, I am not ready for THAT kind of thing yet.

Do I love to spend time with Dave?

Yes. Sure. Of Course.

Do I want to spend MORE time with Dave?

Yup. No doubt about that.

But I absolutely LOVE having my own house to go home to. Whenever I want to. Right next door. Perfect.

I have told Dave several times that I think April really likes to hang with us because with US, it's a COUPLE thing and Doug just doesn't go for that. Before Dave and I were together, she only had single girlfriends and Doug hung out with guys that were always leaving their wives at home and going out alone.

So, this is different for her and I think she thinks its better for Doug to have a COUPLE to hang out with.

And, in fact, April has been coming up with more and more couple things to do. She certainly is taking advantage of the thought that Dave and I do things together and she is dragging Doug along with us.

That's fine. I would rather do things as couples than just the ladies.

Anyway, so the plans so far are:

Going to pick apples together.

Going to a play together.

Going to a haunted hayride together.

And of course we have the big Mexico trip coming up, too.

Oh, and we are going out to eat again next week together.

And always there is the deck. We all four of us sit together on the deck and waste a hell of a lot of time!!!

Tonight, Angel is coming over to help me pick out paint colors for Dave's house. He has only white walls and he needs help with picking out the colors. Angel has the color charts for paint and she is going to help me figure something out for four rooms.

I am HOPING to have some alone time at home tonight, too, but who knows if that will happen.

I have a tons of shows on DVR to watch and a Netflix came about a week ago and I have had no time. I also have a fridge that really needs to be cleaned out, some floors that need to be swept and mopped, a litter box that needs to be emptied, and toe nails that need a fresh coat of polish. Not to mention all the laundry and dishes that tend to pile up. Oh, and that silly curtain I have to make before NEXT weekend.

Yeah, could use some alone time, I think.

This weekend looks like it might be getting busy already, so I am just trying to get some stuff done as I can.

Okay. Time to get to work now.

Have a happy THURSDAY!!!

<< welcome >>
