Had a great birthday yesterday.

Work was good. I was typing from 7:00 until 2:30 and then I finally got everything in. There was more stuff to do, such as the state forms but I knew I could do them today, so I said, screw it. I was tired of working!!!!

After work, I ran to the bank, then to Wally World and then to the convenience store.

Then I finally got home. I took care of the dogs, as usual, and then headed over to Dave's. He was asleep in his chair so I just got my Viking's blanket and curled up on the couch and laid down myself.

I didn't sleep and just ended up watching Dave sleep.

He woke up and we got our butts moving to Crab Night!!!

Just the two of us for a change. Usually Doug and April come with us. Doug had something he needed to do last night and I KNOW I SHOULD have invited April to come along, but I really wanted Dave and I to go out alone for a change and I am so glad we did. It was so nice and not rushed. We could stay and play the slots as long as we wanted.

Dave was playing a machine and he got into the bonus round and kept winning. He got the credits up to over 20000 and he cashed out, thinking he was playing a penny machine and just made $200.

Nope. It was a two cent machine and he took out over $400 so he was happy.

He gave me $100 of it immediately for my birthday and pocketed the rest and we got the hell outta there. The longer you stay, the less your profit, if you get one at all.

Well, as usual, once you are in those places, you lose track of time so we didn't get home until after 11:00. I went to bed as soon as my doggies were taken care of for the night and didn't wake up until morning.

I went over to Dave's for coffee and found out that his son is in the hospital for emergency appendectomy surgery. He is going to school about two hours away and Dave is trying to decide whether to head up there or not. Tony said he didn't need him there, but I know if it were MY son, I would be up there in a flash. But Dave and Tony do NOT have the relationship that I have with my daughter, so I can't tell him what to do.

I offered to go along but Dave doesn't want me to miss any time at work.

So, I imagine he will not go and Tony will call us later on to let us know how it goes.

Tonight I am going to Sam H's house for a Tastefully Simple party. April is picking me up and I hope it's a short one. I have things I wanted to do tonight after we get back since I thought that Dave would be gone for the night with an appointment. His appointment canceled on him so he will be home.

Dave had gotten me a cake for my birthday and we didn't eat any of it last night since it was so late when we got back home AND we were still full from crab night.

So, everyone is scheduled to come down to the deck and have cake with me.

Okay. Well, I guess I need to go now. I have a few things on my desk and in my email to do. I hope it's a quick day today!!!!
