It was pretty quiet yesterday.

Both at work and at home.

Well, I wasn't actually HOME very much, but it was a quiet evening.

Work was pretty busy in the morning, but that was apparently all the work I was going to get for the whole day. If I had known that, I would have taken my time with it. But you just never know with Bossy Man.

He did stop in twice yesterday, once on his way south through town and again on his way north.

He didn't give me any work either stop, though.

I went to pick up some smokes after work and stopped at Super America near my house. As I was pulling in, I saw Dave, pulling in, too. So, I got out of my car and gave him a kiss and hug. Just then Vanessa (a girl from my old neighborhood who grew up with Jenner) saw me and got out of her car and said, "Paula!!! Are you cheating on Jim?" She was just kidding but since I hadn't seen her in a long time, she had no idea that Jim and I had separated. So, I brought Dave over and introduced them and the look on Nessa's face was so funny!!! I shocked the poor girl. But that's the way things go sometimes. I thought it was pretty funny.

Went home, took care of the doggies and headed over to Dave's. We sat around and gabbed for a while. Then we made dinner. His mom sent some ethernitsa and potato dumplings so we had that for dinner. I made some creamed peas, which I have never made before but Dave loves them and asked me to try it. And I did and he said they turned our perfect.

Dave has some sales calls to make so I grabbed my book and relaxed for a while.

I was looking forward to a nice, quiet evening, and that is pretty much what I got. I kept expecting Doug and April to stop by, but I never heard from them. I have a feeling that Dave told them that we were not accepting company last night. He knew I was ready for some quiet time together.

Oh, Sam called me. It was her first day of work at a new job and she wanted to tell me about that, and to ask if I could babysit for her tonight for a short time. I said, yes, even though I had really wanted to take a nap after work because it's Karaoke Night, but sometimes you just have to help people out.

So, I will be watching a four year old and a 6 week old baby tonight. I hope they are good. Grandma is a tired old woman, sometimes!!!

Anyway, went to bed early last night. Woke up twice in the night for some reason. I am not sure why, but Dave and I both woke up at the same time both times. I imagine one woke up and that movement woke the other. Who knows?

I was okay when the alarm went off since I got to bed early.

And here I am.

Drinking my iced coffee and watching the emails come in from Bossy Man. I guess I should start the day.
