Well, things changes quite quickly around here.

Now we are NOT going to the Kickin Country Music Fest. Dave decided he did not want to go, so that is out. So, I no longer need Friday off and will most likely be working.

I could still take the day off, but why? No good reason at all anymore, and I would feel guilty if I just stayed home. So, off to work I will be on Friday morning.

So, the thing that really disappoints me about this whole deal is that I took Friday off, so I could NOT take today off, which I had also wanted to do to go down to the State Fair with Dave.

Well, I had to make a decision on what I wanted to do. So I chose the Music Fest seeing as how it would be laid back, I would have a hotel room for two nights, and I would have more fun.

Now that is out the door and it was too late to take today off when the decision was made. (Or should I say, the plans were CHANGED?!?!) So, now, I have no trips, no stuff going on.

Oh well. There are worse things in life, I guess, right?

Well, work yesterday was pretty busy. I did go in late since I knew I could take care of everything in the day and still have time left over.

I cruised along with work until noon, when Charles called me and asked me out to lunch with him and Sam and the two kids.

They let me pick where to eat and I chose China Buffet, which is very close to my office, within walking distance.

So, we did that and it was too much fun!!! Ms. Alex kept saying that Grandma Paula needs to sit next to her, and Grandma Paula needs to take her to see the fishies in the fish tank at the front of the restaurant. And Grandma Paula needs to help her pick out her food. So damn cute!!! The waitress asked if I was a grandma and I said yes, and she said that I looked so young!!! LOL Gotta love it!!!! Good genes, baby!!!

I took an hour and half for lunch and had a great time. I paid for the meal since Sam and Charles really don't have much money and I can afford it.

I went back to work and got the rest of my stuff done, including some extra stuff like scanning documents into the system. That's something that I always put off because it's such a pain in the ass to do!!!

I realized that my car tabs would be expiring this month and I hadn't gotten the renewal card in the mail. Then I realized that I would not get one since the car is in Jim's name and his mail is forwarded to him. So, I went online to get it done that way, then I realized that the tabs, when they came in the mail, would be forwarded to him, too. And I have a feeling he would NOT give them to me. So, I had to call the Brainerd License Office and tell them the situation and they said I could come in, and as long as my drivers license has Jim's last name and the address they have on file on it, I could renew the tabs no problem. So, that will be my errand after work tonight. Thank God the little office here in Brainerd is NEVER really busy. I have heard stories of people in other cities having to wait in line for HOURS, but not here.

I would have gone yesterday but I got a call from Dave who said I NEEDED to go directly home after work, let my dogs out, and then get over to his house IMMEDIATELY!!! (He was missing me!!!) And then he said that he would see me at 3:35. Too funny!! I get off work at 3:30, and have to drive home, get the dogs out and get over to his house in FIVE minutes??? LOL!! He makes me laugh sometimes!!

So, that's what I did, only I took a BIT longer than that, and we sat around and gabbed for a while on the deck. He was getting quite a few work calls so I was bored and went and took a little nap. I slept so hard, and finally woke up around 6:45 or so. Wow!! I guess I was tired!!

Got up. Put the leftovers from dinner the night before in the oven, and then took care of my doggies while the food warmed up.

Had dinner. April came over and we visited on the deck. She was pretty tired, too. Then Doug came over and we sat with him until 9:30 when we finally kicked him out. I said goodnight to Dave and went home and slept really really good, considering I took a nap earlier.

Got up this morning. Dave was leaving early this morning to get to the State Fair so there was no coffee this morning for me. :-(

I just picked up an iced coffee on my way to work to get my caffeine in me.

Today, Bossy Man is back in town so I know I will be pretty busy. I will go to get my tabs after work. And maybe take a short nap after work. I am going out to Karaoke tonight with Sam and Matt and whoever else is going to be there.

I have a movie coming today from Netflix and I might try to watch some of that, too, if I get the chance.

The talk last night was of our upcoming trip to Mexico. I am so damn excited about it, especially since I was disappointed that we are not doing anything this weekend now. Dave did tell me that he would make it up to me and we would do something fun on Friday night.

I am sure he will forget about it before then and we will just sit on the deck.

You know, I LIKE sitting on the deck with friends, but sometimes it would be nice to do something a bit different. Oh well. We shall see how things go.
