I'm trying to be a happy, smiley person today.

I think I will be able to manage it. As long as I don't think too hard on Dave being gone until Monday.

I know. I know. Just until Monday? That's not long at all.

But, I really miss the guy already.

Just driving by his house this morning was sad, knowing that there was no coffee waiting for me. And that he will not be home when I get off work.

Yeah. I think I got it BAD!!!!

Anyway, work yesterday was good. Bossy Man gave me a whole lot of stuff to do and then left me alone!!

Yipee!!!

He has no idea how long it takes to do my work, and he tends to err on the conservative side, so I was done with everything by 10:45 and so I had lots of time to myself.

I think he figured it would take me all day to do the work he sent.

So, it was a pretty good day at work. Made the morning fly by, but the afternoon dragged!!!!

I went straight home and took care of the doggies and then went over to Dave's. He was just relaxing on the deck and we gabbed for a while and then, seeing as how we were both tired and had to get up early in the morning to make Dave's flight, we took a nap.

I woke up alone, Dave having gotten up before I did. He made dinner while I showered.

He ran to Wally World to pick up travel sized stuff for his trip and I waited on the deck for April and Trish. Trish had a "first date" last night and we were all dying to hear about it since we were all together when she met this man.

The date went well and she was smiling like crazy!!!!

The ladies left and Dave and I gabbed while he finished his packing.

He started in on his "If something happens to me...." speech and I just told him that I would take the Mustang and leave the rest!!! He said that was okay, but please take care of my kids, etc. I finally shut him up and said nothing was going to happen to him. He would be fine.

He not only is worried about the flight, but he is worried about the Tropical Storm Danny, which is heading for the Carolinas, where Dave is vacationing. I guess one of the guys called the captain of the fishing boat they are going on and checked into the weather with him. The captain assured them that they would NOT go out into the ocean to fish if there was a hurricane around.

Well, duh!!!!

anyway, I guess the whole trip nearly got canceled AGAIN by Doug due to his worries about a hurricane.

Sigh. Doug. You drive me nuts!!!!

anyway, so Dave and I went to bed so he could at least get a little sleep. But he was so hyper that he woke up at 1:00 and started getting dressed. I woke up and asked him what time it was. He said it was 1:00. Since he didn't have to get up until 2:00, I just said, "Dave!!!" and he immediately took his clothes off again and came back to bed.

without saying a word. Too funny!!!

Of course, that only lasted a couple of minutes and he was up again.

I fell back to sleep and he woke me up just before he left. I got up with him and walked him to the car and said goodbye to Doug and Johnny, too.

Doug assured me he would take care of Dave and he laughed and told us to hurry up when we were saying goodbye. Doug is such an ass, sometimes!!!!

The guys left and I went back to bed. I wasn't sure I could fall asleep again, but I did. But waking up without Dave there really sucked little donkey wings!!!

I didn't think I would miss someone so much. But I did.

Got ready for work and got my butt to the office.

and here I am.

Oh, Dave has been texting me up until the time of boarding his flight. So, I am actually communicating more with him today then I normally do this early!! Funny!!!

Well, I have TONS of stuff lined up to do while he is gone. Things that I have not had time to do since Dave demands so much of my time. Not that I am complaining. No sir!! I love spending time with him, but I do let other things slide a bit. So, this is catch up time!!!!

Okay. Got lots of things to do here at work, too, so I better get my butt moving!!!
