let's see now. What did I do yesterday?

Oh, yeah. I worked, first of all. Was a fairly busy day. Got lots done.

After work, I had to run to Wally World to pick up lunches for the rest of the week and since I was already there, I picked up some other grocery items, and some carpet cleaner crap, and tried on six shirts, of which two I loved, but only bought one, waiting for the other to go on sale.

Then I headed home. Dave had appointments all day so he was out of town. I was home just long enough to get my doggies taken care of, my stuff put together, a load of laundry in the dryer, and then I was off to Sam's for dinner.

I got there before 6:00 and was starving, but of course, with SAM, if she says to come over to eat at 6:00, we usually eat sometime after 7:00. And, sure enough, we ate at around 7:45.

I have no idea why she is so unorganized and can't time things, but that is Sam and I will just let it go. I should have known better and had something quick to eat before I left the house. but I didn't. And that's my bad.

I got to hold the baby most of the evening. The only time I let him go was when I was eating my dinner, having waited until someone else was done first before I handed him over to get my own food.

Yeah, I'm a REAL grandma!!! LOL

After dinner, we started to play a few hands of Uno. We were into the third hand, which started around 9:00 and I was SUPPOSED to be home by then. Dave had invited April and Doug down because April wanted a fire last night. And since Dave was not going to be home until well AFTER 9:00, April and Doug were going to come down and start the fire themselves and just wait for us.

I told Dave I would be home by 9:00, but I didn't QUITE make that deadline. I was home at 9:40 and Dave was there, but no April and no Doug. They did come done later, though.

Anyway, we sat around and gabbed. Doug suddenly realized that my birthday was coming up (next month) and he said we would have a party a couple days before the actual day so it can be on a Saturday. He asked me what I wanted to do and I said Texas Hold Em, so we are going to play poker for my birthday.

He then said on my ACTUAL birthday, he would take us all out for dinner, and, again I got the choice, so I selected crab night!!!!

so, that is settled, but I have no illusions that it will actually happen. Doug is big on talking and plans change quicker than he changes his boxer shorts.

so, whatever.

Oh, I almost forgot. I talked with Jenner yesterday morning about the restraining order.

Turns out she already knew about it. I figured she didn't since she was still so nice and friendly with me. But turns out her father actually did tell her about it. I can just imagine THAT conversation. Anyway, Jenner said that it was fine and she did not want to get into issues between her father and I. I just told her that there have been nasty phone calls, text messages, and emails for MONTHS now and that when he broke into the house, it was the final straw and I did NOT do this lightly. I told her how much it costs to have one filed and she knows that I would not spend that much money on something that I didn't believe in.

So, she was cool.

I think my baby girl is growing up.

Sorta.

Anyway, so that is over and done with and I feel better about talking to her about it since the idea of THAT conversation was eating at my stomach.

Maybe that's why I am in such a good mood now. I got the last little icky thing out of the way and it's done now.

Okay. I need to get back to work now. Bossy Man sent me TONS of files to do. I have them all in and completed, but I still have some various administrative things to take care of.
