What a day it was yesterday. I was sooo agitated by the end of the day, I was pacing and could not relax.

work was fine. I had so much work to do that I didn't think I would ever get it done AND get down to the courthouse to file my harassment order. But I managed it. By 1:00. They told me if the papers were in by 2:00, I would hear by the end of the day. And the woman at the desk told me again that I would hear by the end of the day.

Think I got a call?

Nope. I have no idea what the judge ruled on this.

I am having very hopeful thoughts about it, though. I just can't imagine a judge taking a change and saying NO to the harassment restraining order. I mean, what is there to lose in doing that until a hearing is set? I did tell the judge in the papers that Jim broke into the house. That in itself SHOULD be enough to spur the judge to say he needs to stay away. Add on top of THAT the nasty emails, the phone calls, the text messages and it all adds up to some odd behavior on Jim's part.

Anyway, I will call them soon to check on the status of my request.

After work, I stopped by the police station to see if Jim had really talked to them about breaking in my house and that they told him it was fine with them.

The officer HE talked to was not there but they said he would call me.

and he did. What an ASS!!! The man was really really rude to me when I asked if they even CHECKED to see if Jim had a restraining order on him before they told him to go ahead.

You know what the cop told me?

He said, "No. It's up to JIM to tell them if he has an order against him."

I could not believe it!!!!

Then he went on to say that if there WAS an order against him, then it was up to ME to call them and let them know he violated the order and then they would go arrest him.

I think this is total bullshit!!!

The cop said they can't arrest someone on INTENT, which I do understand, but sometimes the law just sucks.

anyway, so that was another reason why I was so agitated yesterday.

Then on top of that, I was holding my cell phone, just waiting for a call from the court, which never came. We went out to eat and I held my phone in the car the whole way until it was well after 5:00 and I realized I was NOT going to hear from them. I wish people would do what they say they will.

I talked to Doug and Dave about the copy I spoke with and they both have had dealings with him and say he's a total ass. Which I do believe. He's one of those guys who is such a control freak that they will pull you over for even the slightest little issue.

Enough of this issue for now.

We went out to eat last night. That was fun. Doug had an appraisal job to do on the way, so we had to sit in the car for a short bit while he measured up a house. Dave helped him and they both came back, bitten up by mosquitoes. April and I were smart enough to stay in the car!!!

We had a great meal. I had their special, which was scallops and a baked potato. It was soooo good!!!

We came home. Dave and I were dropped off and I went home for a bit to let out the dogs and just kinda relax a few minutes. Dave texted me that he had a bonfire started and I should come back over. So, I did that, even though what I really wanted to do was just curl up in bed and sleep for about 20 hours.

But we had fun at the fire last night. It started raining a bit just before we went inside for the night, then poured just as we were crawling into bed.

I slept so well until the very early morning hours when I woke up to tons of rain coming down.

So, no mowing again today. It's gonna rain all day long.

I was talking with Dave yesterday. He bought some corn on the cob from a farmer yesterday and we decided to have that and some burgers for dinner. April heard me and asked if they could come over for dinner, too.

We said of course, so we will have dinner and spend the evening with them again.

I think April really likes spending time with Dave now that he has a girlfriend that she likes. She didn't really care too much for Dave's ex-wife because she was not socialable at all and only wanted to stay home and read. I like April, too, and am glad that we are getting along fine. I don't think we will ever be REALLY REALLY close friends, since we have a lot of different interests, but she is good company. She even asked me if I wanted to go to New York with the ladies when they go in a month or so. I turned her down since it would be so expensive to do and I am saving up for my Mexico trip in December. and now that I had to spend over $300 on the restraining order, that really cut into my spending money for the month.

I just need to keep an eye on things.

Anyway, I guess I better get down to work now. Bossy Man sent me multiple files to transcribe, but is heading out of town until afternoon so that means I won't be getting anything more from him until much later, except for phone calls. There are ALWAYS the phone calls!!!!
