<< fishing weekend. >>
2009-08-17, 7:18 a.m.

I'm feeling a little shaky right now. I am already feeling icky due to PMS rearing its ugly head my way, but then I get to work and I get an email from dear, sweet EX, who is demanding the house key again.

He says he needs to come get some stuff.

I just emailed him back and said, fine, come get stuff, but I will be there when you do.

He is threatening legal action if I don't cooperate.

Fuck you.

I know you don't have the money for that. It's the same old song over and over again.

He wants his stuff. Come get it!! I have been asking him to get his stuff for a long time now. He refused to. NOW he wants a key so he can come and go as he pleases? No way in hell!!!!

I am trying to calm myself by telling me that there is nothing wrong with me not giving him a key to my house.

I think he just got angry because I was actually doing something this weekend that was FUN!!!

Without him!!!

Deep breath!!!!!

IN and OUT!!!!

Okay. I have made a decision. I will put all his stuff into the garage tonight and he can come get it. He has access to the garage, but not the house. I have found things missing that he never discussed taking, so I feel I am in the right in keeping him out if I am not around.

Whatever.

Anyway, I feel better.

On to the weekend recap!

Friday. Got off work early. Had to remind Bossy Man that I was leaving early. He can never remember anything having to do with me. Whatever.

So, ran home. Got packed up. Called April. She and Trish came to get me. It was a LONG drive, but really went faster than I thought it would since I spent most of the time gabbing and working on the baby quilt for my niece.

I nearly got it done but then I was so tired of quilting!!!!

Trish dropped us off at the cabin and we woke up the guys. They were both napping when we got there.

The weather was crappy!! It had been storming and it was still wet and damp and SO damn humid. And the cabin was a piece of SHIT!!! I have no idea why they continue to stay there when it's such a horrid little place. I mean, really really bad. Spider webs all over it, the floor was uneven, the bedrooms were tiny, the bathroom was leaking water all over, the showerhead was mostly clogged. It's more of a GUY place, if you know what I mean? It was on the river, of course, which leads to the lake, but even THAT did not make it at all nice.

Anyway, the guys woke up. We all got ready to go out to the Wigwam for drinks. Had a pretty good time out there. Met Trish and her group there and we danced and pretty much had fun. Dave and I left earlier than the rest because we were tired and we just went straight to bed. The cabin was right next door to the bar of the resort and we could hear people singing karaoke until 1:00 a.m. I fell asleep anyway. I was so tired that I did not hear Doug and April come back. Dave said they were really really noisy, but I did not hear a thing. Thank God!!!!

The next morning, we kept an eye on the weather. More storms and rain coming through. So, we never did get out on the water to go fishing. We really wanted to but April and I did not want to do that when it was raining.

So, we decided to go to a local casino for a few hours. Good thing we did because we hit a bad storm on our way outta town and it would have hit us if we had been on the lake. It would have been miserable!!!!

Dave and Doug both won at the casino. April and I never do, so we weren't disappointed at all.

Had lunch there and then headed back to the cabin. The guys decided to chance it and get out on the lake, but April and I decided to stay back and take naps.

They guys got out there, caught four fish, kept two, and then headed back around 5:30 or so. The winds started picking up and we knew another storm was coming.

Sure enough, another one came through.

Dave and I went to a local mexican restaurant and picked up some food for dinner. We ate at the cabin and then got ready to go out to Sportsman's Lodge. This was a MUCH nicer place than the night before. Doug, Dave and I split a bottle of wine before we even left the cabin so I was feeling pretty loose and having fun. We danced all night long. April wasn't drinking this time so she was ready to leave pretty early. We got done there and went back to the cabin. April went in to sleep and the rest of us went to the bar next door where they had a singer playing. He was really good and we enjoyed visiting with him. He was taking requests and he played all the songs we wanted. Doug paid him to stay later than he normally did so that was pretty cool.

We closed that place down and then went back to the cabin. April had locked the patio door but left the main door open, but Doug was ticked off that she had locked any of the doors so he got her out of bed and was kinda mean to her. She kept her cool and just left him alone. He was a bit drunk. Doug is usually the nicest guy around, but sometimes he gets pissed at April and he can be mean to her, I think. He was WAY out of line and was muttering to Dave and I that his relationship with April was nearing its end.

Whatever, Doug. I know you were drunk, but man, behave yourself.

Then he started blaming her for the leak that developed in the cabin while we were gone. I kept telling him that it was THERE when we ALL got back from Sportsman's. I SAW it there and it was NOT April that caused it.

He would not listen. He just wanted to pick a fight with her. How stupid!!!

Dave and I went to bed and we could hear Doug yelling at April in the next room. Well, not really YELLING, but saying some things that he had no reason to say. She said she was fine with it, that she was used to it.

Anyway, she got him settled down and onto the couch to spend the night and I fell asleep.

Dave got up early and made coffee. We all eventually stirred. The plan was to go fishing early, before we had to pack up and go home. But, again, the weather did not cooperate. So, Dave got the trailer on the truck and I rode with Doug in the boat to the landing. Doug took me around the river for a bit first because I hadn't been in his boat yet and he knows I hadn't been up to Lake of the Woods before and wanted to show me the sites before it started raining.

Got the boat on the trailer, went back to the cabin and got packed up and left.

We decided to stop at the casino in Walker on our way home since we were leaving so early. April won over $500 bucks and she was so happy!!!

I won nothing, but since we had each won $100 on pulltabs the night before, I was fine with that. I was still ahead!!!

after that, we had to drop off the boat at April's sister's house. Transferred all our stuff to April's SUV and then went to April's mom's house since the guys had to borrow her car since Doug's SUV is in the shop.

Doug and Dave took off WAY before April and I did. I was so tired and just wanted to get home, but April just sat and gabbed with her mom. Finally we left and made it home before the races let out and had LITTLE delay along that stretch of the highway.

Got home. Took care of my dogs. I was heading back over to Dave's for a nap when Jason came over. He didn't get my message that we were gonna be home early and so there was no need to come back over to let the dogs out. We gabbed for a short time and then I went over to Dave's. Had a smoke with him and then we took a nap. I slept SO hard!!! Dave apparently got out of bed around 6:00 and waited and waited for me to wake up. Finally at 6:30 he couldn't wait anymore. He wanted me to made him the eggs I promised I would. So, he woke me up and I got up, made dinner. And then I went home to do some laundry and just rest.

I stayed home and didn't go back over there at all. I was falling asleep again before 10:00. Heard nothing until my alarm went off in the morning at 5:30.

I got ready to go to work. Stopped by Dave's for a cup of coffee and here I am!!!

That's it. Plenty of stuff going on. I have a birthday party to go to tonight at Sam's, so there is NO rest for me!!!!

Have a great one!!!
