Wow!!

It's MONDAY. Where did the weekend go?

Friday night, I was alone since Dave had his fair he had to work. Was I lonely?

Hells, no!!

I had things to do. I did laundry, deep cleaned more carpets. Yipee, gotta love THAT!!!

I watched some TV programs I had been meaning to get to.

I also took a VERY long nap. I guess I was tired!!!

I did not go to the pig races. The weather was crappy and I just didn't feel like sitting in rain with Stewart and watch pigs race around. I have seen it before and I don't really need to see it again.

That's a little sad, isn't it?

I guess they had a good time, however, just not with me. Good for them!!!!!

I got a call from Dave up in Bagley. He was bored and tired, so we didn't talk too long.

I made an apple pie for Dave and also put together some fruit in the dehydrator. I love me some dried apples and bananas!!!

I was up pretty late that evening, playing on my computer.

Saturday morning I was up bright and early, of course. And I got some more stuff done. I had the whole day ahead of me, so I thought, and was just taking my time.

It was another rainy day so I spent most of it inside. That is until around 1:00, when the sun came shining through. It was still so humid but I figured I better get some grass mowed. So, I did that. I took breaks and went inside and removed all my clothes just to cool off. It was really really bad!!!

but I got the job done, in record time. I was NOT going to sit out in the heat any longer than necessary!!!

I got all my bed linens washed, took a shower and decided to nap for a bit.

I woke up and there was a message from Dave. I just texted him back and that was that. So, I thought. A short time later, someone was knocking on my door. It was Dave!! Home early from the fair. Yah!!!

So, we gabbed for a while, had some dinner together, and then went over to Doug and April's place where they had a bonfire going. That was nice. Took the '66 Mustang over there, so that was fun, to cruise down the street in THAT!!! Woot woot!!!

Then we went home and went to bed. It was pretty late and we were both tired.

We had made plans to have everyone over for breakfast the next day since I had put together my Monkey Bread for us the night before. So, I texted everyone once I put the bread in the oven. Of course they were all LATE!!! That was fine. I had run home to get my eggs, bread and butter since Dave was out of everything and came back and made coffee, eggs, toast and monkey bread for the whole group. And we sat and talked all morning long out on the deck. It was really really nice. I imagine we will do that again soon!!!!

After breakfast, we got the kitchen back in order and by the time everyone left, it was pretty late morning. We were going to meet Dave's mom, dad, sister, brother, their spouses, and one niece at the casino. They were all driving the 2.5 hours just to go to the casino!! Goofy!!!

Anyway, so this was the first time I had met any of Dave's family.

it worked out okay, since we ran into them one by one and it was not a HUGE crush of trying to meet everyone at once. Whew!!!

We had a hard time finding his mom, but I spotted her first. The same with his brother. I recognized them all. I was playing slots alone and we still hadn't found his dad yet, but I saw this man that I was SURE was him. I found Dave and told him that I was SURE I spotted his dad. He didn't believe that I could pick this elderly gentleman out in the crowd of older gamblers that were there. I said I was SURE it was home. We found him, and sure enough, it was his dad. Too funny!!!

we all had buffet together, and sure enough, as soon as I got up to refill my plate, they all started grilling Dave about me. Was I the reason why Dave and Judy broke up? How did you meet her? How long have you been going together? all sorts of stuff. I knew as soon as I sat down that they were talking about me. Made me feel a bit uncomfortable, you know?

they were all surprised when I said I lived right next door to Dave. too funny!!!

anyway, Dave tried to get them to come over to his house but they refused. He said he wasn't surprised. He said they NEVER come to see him. He has a bit of a love/hate relationship with his family, and I know a bit of that is his resentment that they complain that he never sees them, but he does go, but they will never come to see him.

So, whatever. Hopefully I won't get too entrenched in his family issues.

After we got home, AFTER 6.5 HOURS there!!!!! Yikes!!!, I went home to take care of my dogs and then relaxed a bit in my own house. I did go over later to visit before bedtime, however. I was in bed and asleep before 10:00.

This morning, I was so tired that when my alarm went off, I reset it for another half hour. DAve had to get up early, too, so we got up and had coffee together. I was pretty late for work this morning, well over an hour late. But it was okay since Bossy Man is out of state and will not be calling in at all today.

He did leave me some work, though, that is supposed to last me two days. Not gonna happen. I will be done with it in, I bet, about three hours from now.

Maybe less.

anyway, so there is nothing else going on here.

This weekend we are going to The Lake of the Woods (WAY northern MN) to go fishing. It's a five hour drive and we will be staying Friday and Saturday nights, heading back home on Sunday. I'm looking forward to it, but Dave really isn't. He wants a weekend that we can just spend together, alone. We are taking April and Doug with us this weekend.

Oh well. I am looking forward to it. I love to go fishing!!!

Okay. Back to work now. This is plenty long!!!
