<< fun stuff coming up >> Yesterday was kinda a strange day. Work was fine. I got all my work done in a timely fashion, so no huge issues there. I was NOT going to the casino last night to meet my mom and her sisters because of the whole not being able to drive after dark thing. So, I told her no. Then I got a call from Dave, who was supposed to be out of town all day yesterday, saying that he didn't need to be gone afterall, so he was heading back to town to come get me. I called him and asked him what the dealio was and he said that plans got changed and he was available to drive me to the casino that night to meet up with my family. Well, having THOUGHT I was on my own last night, I had made some other plans. Nothing elaborate at all, just going to visit Sam and Tanner in the hospital (They were still there and Sam begged me to come visit her, she was so bored!!!!), and I was going to go tanning and then go to the store. Well, since things got changed, I had to hurry my visit to Sam and Tanner and then RUN back home, put gas in my car and then pick up Dave. Which I did. We were on the road by 5:00 and made it to the casino by 6:00. Had some fun gambling with my mom. She is a conservative gambler like me, so it was fun to sit with someone who got excited like I do over winning 60 cents!!! LOL We had fun. We had the buffet together. It was BBQ night, and while I really love BBQ, THIS buffet really sucked little donkey wings. Not very good at all. But it filled the tummy (mainly by desert, which even THEY could no screw up!!) and kept me going. then Dave and I went home. Dave has only met my mom a few times and he had never met my aunts before so he was kinda in his "salesman mode", meaning he was extra nice, extra smiley, extra talkative. Kinda funny to see that because that is NOT Dave. Well, it IS, only on a much LARGER scale. Went home. Since we took my car, he drove into my garage and walked home. Got some much needed sleep and woke up refreshed and ready to go!!! No coffee this morning with Dave. I didn't anticipate I would since he had no real reason to get up THAT early. Bossy Man did stop by work yesterday, but only for a minute or two and he was out the door again, after leaving me some files. Today he is coming in again, but again, for only a short time. He is bringing his teenage daughter with because he is heading down to the Cities and she wants some Cities driving experience. I told Bossy Man that he might regret THAT decision!!! LOL Tonight, I have no plans other than to clean house, get that tanning in that I missed yesterday, and pretty much catching up on stuff. Maybe working on my divorce papers again. Dave should be home again, so those plans might go by the wayside, too. Who knows? It's bound to be a good day, no matter what. Doug, April, Dave and I are planning a January trip to Porta Viarta for a week. It started out with just the four of us. Then other people got involved. It was supposed to be an ADULT only party, but now that Heather and Stewart are invited, HE wants to bring his two children, one who is just three and one who is under one year old. Yeah, right. So, the ADULT vacation is now turning into a family thing and from what I hear, the one year old HATES flying and the last time they took her, she screamed the whole way and had all the other passengers upset with them. That's what I want to do. NOT!!! Anyway, the thing is, the mother of the children does not want to bring them since SHE will be the one not able to relax and have to take care of the kids while the father, Stewart, gets to do what he wants. However, Stewart is the one that is insisting on the kids coming. Think there's a little control issue here? You bet!! Oh, and they have a NANNY that travels with them, but he still expects his wife to take care of everything while he is off doing whatever. Again, a huge control issue. Poor woman. She just wants a break from the kids but he won't let her. Anyway, I told Dave last night that I was not too happy about the trip turning from ADULT to FAMILY in no time at all. I don't have a kid to bring, unless you count Dave. LOL I had told Dave that I wanted to go to the Javelina Hunt in San Diego with the ladies that I read here and he said great. Then the trip to Mexico came up. I can't do both, so I had to choose. And, sorry, ladies, but Mexico, the ocean, the beaches, the five star hotel and restaurants, AND having my honey with me, kinda won out. But I really want to get out that way sometime. I think you all are a bunch of crazy ladies and I KNOW I would fit in great!!! Okay. Back to work before Bossy Man shows up. I SHOULD look like I am earning my money here!!! |
