What a quiet day compared to the most recent ones. I worked all day, of course.

I am having issues still with my wallet being stolen.

I got my new drivers license, which was great. Especially since I needed it for my Moondance experience. I COULD have used my passport, but I didn't really want to carry THAT around in my purse.

Anyway, the problem I am having is with my new check card. I got it about two days after I reported the other one stolen. That was great. But then I had to wait a week for the PIN number to arrive before I could even activate the card. Now, THAT was frustrating. That wait. Knowing I had my card but still couldn't use it.

Anyway, so I get my new PIN number last Wednesday. I activated my card.

I tried to use it at Wally World the same day. Was declined.

What the fuck?

So, I called the bank. Talked to Caitlin. Really nice woman. She called the card company and they said everything checked out fine. No problems on their end.

I told her I had to get some cash out that evening and would try the card then.

I did and it worked.

I thought everything was fine.

Then came the whole Moondance thingy and didn't use my card at all until yesterday.

I called Anytime Fitness and tried to give them my new card number for my membership dues.

Yeah. Wouldn't go through. So, I just gave them my bank account number and that was just fine.

Then it was time to update Netflix.

Again, the number would not go through. So, I KNEW for sure it was the card again.

So, I called Caitlin again. Thank God I had her direct dial number.

She called the card company again and, once again, they see no problem with my card and said that there was no records of it being declined. I said, nope. I tried it TWICE and neither time would it work. She said that maybe it was the magnetic strip.

Ummmm....no. Both times it was declined was over the phone. No swiping involved there.

So, their solution is to send me yet another card.

Fuck!!

Another week of not having a card.

I asked that this card stay active until I get the new one since apparently I can use it at their ATMs, just not anywhere else. She agreed.

I went to Anytime Fitness to tan, and of course, because of the whole non-payment due to the card being a piece of shit, I was denied access to tanning. Kyle, the owner, knew my situation and so he gave me HIS fob to use and I was able to fake and bake to my heart's content yesterday. Then I went to Wally World after that and I tried to pay for my items with my card. I tried both ways, credit AND debit. No go.

The cashier said that they were having issues with their machines and that might be why it was declined. I said, nope. It's ME.

Anyway, I did have cash, so I paid for my stuff and went home.

Just as I arrived, the skies opened up and it started pouring. Last week we had gotten six inches of rain in three hours, so I really was not looking forward to another deluge of water coming our way. And we were in a DROUGHT!!!! Not anymore.

In fact, April and Doug's house was flooded due to the huge amount of rain we got in those three hours last week. They had to pull up all their carpet from their basement. A total waste. And, of course, the don't have flood insurance so it was a total loss.

No one around here has flood insurance. We don't live on a flood plain.

Anyway, so it rained like crazy again last night. Luckily we have sandy soil here and the rain soaked in nearly right away.

Dave was off on an appointment up north but on his way home by then. He had to drive in all that rain, both times, now that I think about it.

Anyway, once he got home, I waited for the rain to slow before I ran next door. He made me some dinner, even though I had already eaten. But he insisted on feeding me. Then we just curled up in his chair and watched TV.

Well, I watched TV. Dave snored.

I listened to that for about a half hour and then I put him to bed. I went home and got into bed myself and fell asleep early. Of course, whenever I fall asleep EARLY, I wake up just a couple of hours later and am up for a while. It's like my body thinks that when I go to bed early, it's just a NAP and I need to wake up.

Managed to get back to sleep until my alarm went off, but I had a hard time getting out of bed. I was still so tired.

Maybe I will get an early bed time again tonight and stay asleep for a change.

Who knows.

Bossy Man sent me tons of emails already this morning. He called me already, too. He said he was going to leave me alone for a while. I hope so. I have way too much to do already without HIM calling me every two minutes.

He's on the road today, so the calls will mostly be asking for directions or phone numbers.

Anyway. It's Tuesday. I have no more days off to look forward to. I think the rest of the week is going to drag!!!!
