A pretty good day yesterday. Work was going along just fine. I got lots done and Bossy Man actually left me alone for most of the day. Which is probably why I got lots done.

I went to Wally World after work to get lunches for today and Monday since I am not working Wednesday through Friday of this week and I will not be getting back home again until Sunday, when I am SURE I will NOT feel like shopping for lunch. So, once in a while, I DO think ahead.

I came home to find machinery blocking my driveway. I knew the city was laying down fiberoptic, and I also knew that they were going to dig up my yard to do it, since I was the one on the block to have the flags showing where the gas and water lines were.

Yeah. Lucky me. I get to have the holes dug and the driveway all chewed up and my neighbors get to keep their nice, neat lawns AND get the advantage of fiber optic cable running UNDER their grass. Mine? All chewed up. I was the burying point and everyone else got the lines threaded through. Whatever.

Dave says that they will come back and reseed my lawn, but I don't believe it. The LAST time the city dug in my yard, they promised that my drive would be replaced exactly was it was. Yeah, right. I had some nice Grade 5 gravel at the end of my drive. Now I had shit sand and a few rocks. I was not happy.

And, of course, now they dug up my drive so the sand and rocks that finally got compacted down is a mess again.

man, I DO complain, don't I?

Oh well. Moving on................

Oh, while I was at Wally World, I decided to get myself a couple of new sundresses. They are all on sale now and I found two that I liked. Okay, they are the SAME style, but different patterns, so they look totally different.

I just felt the need for something NEW!!!

I then went home, cleaned my bathrooms and pretty much just vegged until Dave came home from his appointment and getting his motorhome ready for our big Moondance Jam camping experience which starts on Thursday. He's going back up today to finish cleaning out the motor home and filling a tire and checking a few other things.

I hung out with Dave on his deck and later in the house when the bugs started coming out, for about two hours and then I went home and straight to bed. I was tired!!!

Today is my last day of work for five days and my Boss has already said that I am abandoning him. I keep reminding him that I am taking THREE days off and I WILL be back.

What a goof.

I guess that's job security, right?

I talked with Jenner yesterday. She's so funny. She is SO not my daughter sometimes.

I wonder if she was switched at the hospital when she was born.

When we had her car on Saturday, we noticed the speakers in the front were all crackly and sounding pretty shitty. So, we switched all sound to the back speakers and it sounded great!!!

she texted me in the middle of the night, asking me what we did to her speakers since they sound so much better now, and what did we do to stop the rattling in her dashboard?

Duh!!

I told her that we just switched the speakers to the rear, which cut out the crackling AND stopped the rattling in the dash.

Okay. She apparently never thought of doing this since getting the car, oh about FOUR YEARS ago. She said that it always made that crackling sound and it drove her nuts and she could never turn up her tunes because of it.

What????

I had to laugh at her. What a blondie!!! (I apologize to all blondes out there who actually do have brains, until, apparently, my own daughter!!!)

But, you gotta love her.

Okay. Gotta run. I have lots of other files to transcribe, including 13 files alone from yesterday's daily entries. Ick!!!!

Oh, have fun this week. I doubt I will be back here until Monday, after Moondance Jam!!!
