<< Feeling gloomy and crabby and unsettled >>

Yesterday was strange.

First the news about Farrah Fawcett. I watched her special not too long ago. It was unbelievable how she was an icon for beauty and didn't care one whit about being filmed throwing up, losing her hair, and generally not at her best. She was courageous.

Then I was watching the Weather Channel and the weather folks were talking about the weather in Michael Jackson's hometown.

What?

Who the fuck cares about the WEATHER in Michael Jackson's hometown?

That's when it struck me that something must have happened to him.

I went to cnn.com and read the news of his passing.

I believe he was a misunderstood child/man.

I was telling Dave last night that I had made a Cabbage Patch doll for my younger sister when she was so INTO Michael Jackson. It was, of course, a Michael Jackson doll, complete with sequined diaper and glove. I wonder what ever happened to it?

I don't know what else to say about these two sad events, happening just hours apart.

I guess I don't need to say anymore.

Well, work yesterday was good. I was fairly busy. I got lots done. Dave stopped by with donut holes from Hardee's. They are cinnamon flavored and come with icing to dip them into. And they are GOOD!!!!

We shared those and then he went to go do whatever it is that Dave does while I am work.

Turns out he went out on the boat with Doug, his mom, his daughter for a few hours.

So, OUR plans got totally changed and I wasn't even consulted about it.

Whatever.

I ran to Wally World after work and picked up lunch for today and a pair of flip flops. I am going to give them another try. I bought a pair earlier in the season, and I could not stand that toe thingy, so I gave them to Jenner, who wore them to her wedding. Too funny!!!

Anyway, I need SOMETHING since I thought we were going on the boat and the only sandals I have are high heels. NOT quite appropriate for the boat, I don't think.

I was on my way home when Dave texted me to tell me he was already on the boat and that he would be home in an hour or so.

Yeah. So, I literally "missed the boat" on this one.

Dave told me earlier in the day that he was going out to "guys night" that night. He said he asked if I could come, but was turned down by Stewart. (whom I am starting to call "King Stewart" because HE always calls the shots, says who can go out and who can't. I'm getting a bit tired of THIS man.)

Anyway, so Dave told Doug that he was NOT going to go out with the guys because I was not invited and Doug said, "Screw what Stewart wants. We can invite who we want. Grab Paula and bring her out."

Well, I didn't even WANT to go out to Zorbaz again. It's a bit on the boring side. All they have there is a bunch of young women, dressed like skanks, and the guys go so they can stare at what they can't have.

So, when Dave was calling Angel to come pick us up, I told him that I was not going and he could go if he wanted to. He immediately told Angel, nevermind, WE are not going.

I had called Sam earlier and she was camping close to town and had invited me to come out to their site for some dogs and smores.

Dave knew I wanted to go there, so I asked him if he wanted to go for a ride and he said yes. So, we got into his car and drove up to the campground and spent some time with Sam, Charles, Matt, Aeris and Ms. Alex.

That was actually pretty nice and lots more fun than going to Zorbaz to look at women.

We came back home and we were both pretty tired, so we went immediately to bed and fell asleep right away.

I woke up around 3:30 and could not get back to sleep for a long time. I felt rested but it was still dark out so I knew it was not quite time to get up.

I did eventually fall back to sleep and managed to sleep until my alarm went off at 5:30.

And, of course, ran home. Took care of the dogs, got showered, dressed, fed and off I went to work.

I did stop for my iced coffee this morning, and when I ordered it, the drive thru lady asked if I wanted it sweetened. I KNEW that she was thinking iced TEA again, so I said, "Sweetened Iced COFFEE???" She apologized and I DID get the correct order this time.

Whatever.

I guess she has her mind all on Iced Tea because it's a new product for them there.

Whatever.

So, today, I believe it will be a slow day because Bossy Man is in Rochester at the Mayo Clinic for an appointment with a client. He normally does not go there for appointments and finds someone else in the company to fill in for him since it's such a long way for him to go.

anyway, since he headed there yesterday, there will most likely not be any emails coming my way from him.

I do have some reports to do and no doubt he will be calling with things to do, but mostly, it should be slow here.

Tonight, we had two different things to do, Dave and I. But I am not sure what we are doing. I guess I will find out later and decide if I want to do either, or maybe a third option.

In the "how stupid is this" category:

I just got an email from my district manager. She said that there was a concern that the reports were being sent to the wrong address for a certain adjuster and to please check to make sure we are using the correct one since the adjuster was getting ticked off.

Okay. Do you think it might have been a GOOD idea to include the CORRECT address?????

I would think so.

So, I sent the address I am using and asked if it's correct.

I mean. How silly NOT to include the correct address when you are trying to get people to send it to the right place.

Oh well. I think I'm a little bitchy and have low tolerance for stupidity today.

Whatever.

But it's Friday!!!
