<< Hubby, girls' night out, dinner out with Dave, plans for the summer. >>

Yesterday was another day of heavy work. Lots of stuff to do and little time to do it. Once again, I did not get everything done. And Bossy Man told me at the end of the day that he "held back" on giving me stuff.

The problem?

Not only did I take a week off, but Bossy Man is taking two to three days off next week so he is piling it on now so we can get everything done and he can still get as many hours in so he gets his full bonus.

Sometimes I really don't like that man.

However, I DO have an option of getting some help and I believe I will need to take advantage of that. Unfortunately my nature is to NOT ask for help and just do it all myself.

That is probably why I ended up doing everything in my marriage and the ex got away with doing nothing.

Yes, I am growing.........

Speaking of the ex, yesterday was ALSO full of more emails. Ending with him telling me that I need help and he is starting to get freaked out by me.

His reasoning?

Because he says I know TOO much about what he is doing and where he is living.

Duh!!

I have heard these things from either himself or our daughter.

Yes, I am stalking you, Jim!!!

LOL

I am just glad to be rid of him and I don't care what he does as long as it does not affect me.

And I told him HOW I know these things about him and that I don't get a flying fig if he thinks I am freaking out. Whatever.

Anyway, so he has ordered that I have a key ready for him today. He said he is coming over today at my office to get it.

Well, I have a little surprise for him. I am going to insist that he sign the title to the car over to me before I hand him the key.

If he wants to play hardball, he needs to realize that I can play, too.

So, we shall see what happens there.

He wants me to meet him outside of the office, which is fine. I will bring out the title and not even have the key with me until he signs it. That way he can't force me to give it to him if he doesn't want to sign the frickin title.

The title for the car was a sticking point early on in our separation. He refused to sign it because he "might need the car if he loses his job." That was his excuse anyway.

So, NOW he has a new car, so there should be no reason for him not to sign it over.

He is not paying for any of the maintenance, nor the insurance, so he better sign it over. If not, I guess I COULD get an attorney to try to get HIS car and see how he likes that. It IS marital property, you know.

Later, after he gets the key, I am going to run to the store and pick up some chain locks for the front and back doors. That way, when I am IN the house, I am assured that he can't just walk in when he wants to. If he tries to get in while I am home, I can ask him to leave. If he doesn't, then there will be a quick call to the police.

I also called an attorney yesterday to figure out my rights, and he told me that the next time that Jim comes over and yells at Dave, that he/I should call the police because he CANNOT do that, and there it will be on record that he is harassing us. After that, I should be able to get a judge to sign off on Jim not being allowed to get onto the property.

So, it's just a waiting game.

This weekend, while Dave is gone, I am planning on getting the paperwork started. The sooner I do this, the better off I will be.

I have another call into Legal Aid. They just don't return calls. I talked to the attorney about payments and he said that he is willing to look at that, but not until after the retainer is paid in full.

So, whatever. I am still stuck with doing as much of this myself as I can.

I DO have the option to get the papers all filled out and then bring them to a paralegal in town who will go over them with me and help me to file them.

So, I am going to TRY that route first and then take it from there.

Back to my REAL life:

After work yesterday, I ran to get some wine because I thought it would be a nice night to just sit with Dave and watch some TV and relax with a glass.

Well, of course, THAT didn't happen.

After the liquor store, I went to pick up some smokes. I went to a store I don't normally go to. And I got carded!!! Too funny!!

I told the lady, thank you, for thinking I am so young that I need to be carded. Then she told me that they card everyone who looks under 40!!!

ha ha ha!!!!!

I just laughed and told her I was WELL over 40, and again, thank you!!!!

She said that I didn't look over 40.

Okay, it's the little things in life sometimes that give me a boost.

Went to Dave's after that and downloaded all my Jim Crap on him and he gave me some advice.

Then I went home to take a little nap. I am still run down from this cold and too many late nights and stress.

I couldn't sleep, though, so I got up, took a shower and was just thinking about what to have for dinner when Dave asked me to go out with him for some food.

So, we went to Famous Dave's, had the Feast for Two. Then we went to Doug and April's. The guys are heading to Lake of the Woods this morning for a weekend of fishing and they just wanted to get things finalized.

I made plans with April to have Trish pick me up tomorrow night for Sam's birthday celebration. I am looking forward to that. It will be mostly the girls (some hubbys that are NOT going fishing will be there, though) and it will just be a fun dinner out with friends.

We also made our plans for Moondance Jam, which is coming up next month.

Dave is bringing his camper and the original plan was for Dave, Doug and I to stay in the camper for the Jam. But now April and Heather are bringing a camper, too, which is being designated the GIRLS' CAMPER and no men allowed. I told her that I would stay with them if the guys get obnoxious. So, pretty much I WILL be staying with the girls! LOL

So, lots of fun plans coming up!!!

I got an invite from my sister for her son's girlfriend's graduation party. I can't go since it is for July 3rd and I already have plans. I am going to Crosslake to April's cabin to watch the fireworks over the lake on the 3rd and then the 4th will be spent in Brainerd for THEIR celebration. Both places really put on a nice display and I really DO love fireworks. It brings out the kid in me. Last year, Ms. Alex sat on my lap while watching the fireworks and to experience watching fireworks with a child who is only 4 years old is like seeing them for the first time. I hope they find us this year so I can have her with me again. As I am going with different people this year, I don't know where we are going to sit to watch. My family has always sat in the same place every year so people can find us and join us. But, again, this year will be different, so we shall see how it goes.

Wow!! Lots of summer activities coming up. There is also a trip to Lake of the Woods for couples coming up. And the Billy Squire concert which is later this month. And Dave and I want to go to Bayfield, Wisconsin for a long weekend this fall when the apples are ready to be picked.

And then there is Doug, who is counting down the days left of summer.

I am beginning to believe that it's way too short!!!

time to get to work.

Happy Nappy Day!!!!
