Well, I stuck with my plan. I did NOT go to Crab Night and I DID stay home and crocheted most of the evening.

I got a LOT done. I finished the whole underskirt and started on the dress.

AND I had time at work yesterday to do quite a bit of crocheting, too. It was a VERY quiet day. I did get some work in the early morning, then pretty much nothing. And after I did all my filing of invoices and various other papers and put together a file on a new client, there was not much else to do.

So, I crocheted and, like I said, got a lot done.

I feel like I may actually get this thing done before the bridal shower!!!

Then I headed to Wally World to pick up a few items just in case the weather got too bad to get into work this morning.

The storm was supposed to start at 4:00, but then they changed it to 10:00. Then they changed it to 12:00.

I woke up this morning and, while there WAS snow on the ground, it was not nearly as bad as they had said. I guess the worse is yet to come.

I fully anticipate being able to go home early today and I WILL if they start to close schools. THAT'S my indication that it's bad outside. This town does NOT close schools unless it's pretty dangerous to be out and about.

Dave came over around 8:30 or so to have a smoke with me and stayed for about an hour. That was a LONG smoke. I was tired. He was tired. I didn't really care if he came over at all last night. Wasn't really in the mood for company, but he called and TOLD me he was coming over, so I really had no choice.

But that's okay. I do like the guy and he's easy to kick out of the house. He doesn't take offense.

He is heading to Bemidji this morning for a meeting (which is totally stupid since the weather is going to be bad) but he kept asking if I would be alright to get out of my driveway in the morning because he can't get to blowing off my drive until he gets back from his meeting. I told him I would be fine and he is worried now that I will get stuck on my way back INTO the drive.

I have NEVER gotten stuck in my driveway. I KNOW I will be fine, but it's nice to have someone worry about me.

He may not make it back to town tonight if the weather is so bad he needs to stay in Bemidji. That's fine. I could use another night like last night, where I have time at home, doing whatever I need/want to do.

It's nice to have a close friend like that, but sometimes it's nice to just be alone and get stuff done.

Speaking of getting stuff done, I did my taxes last night. Well, I did the rough draft to see how much I will owe Federal and how much the state will pay me.

It's all good. I got the owing down to $160 instead of $290, so I was happy.

Okay. Gotta fly. Just spent 45 minutes talking with Jenner and while that was going on, Bossy Man was sending me file after file to transcribe.

Busy busy busy!!!!
