A short day today.

YAY!!!

I took a half day off so I could be home to greet my mom and sister when they arrive. But then they decided not to come as early as they had thought they would come later due to babysitting issues.

But, since I had already taken it off, I'm gonna get my grocery shopping done and then go home and take a nap!!!

Gotta love Fridays!!!

I got an email from my mom and sister saying that instead of staying the WHOLE weekend, they decided to get some stuff done at their own homes this weekend and only stay until tomorrow afternoon, which is really really sweet since now I can go to Stewart's birthday party tomorrow night, which was something that I had really wanted to do. I hadn't been out with the garage gang in well over a month and I really miss everyone.

They have had at least three parties that I missed due to other obligations, and since next weekend my best friend will be gone and the NEXT weekend after that is Easter and I will be gone, there wasn't much of a chance for a get together for ME for quite some time.

Yeah, I'm a social whore.

That didn't come out the way I wanted it to. :-)

Oh, yesterday, I got an email from Jim saying that he wanted to stop by the house to pick up a boom box and his printer.

oops.

I tossed out his printer last week because I figured he didn't want it.

I felt kinda bad, but I told him it was gone and then told him a little fib that his DOG had chewed up the wires on it so it was no longer any good anyway.

Well, I know his dog DID chew on some wires on something of his, and I tossed it out due to that, but I really can't remember if it was the printer or not.

And I told him he could have the boom box that was in the garage. I didn't want him to take any of my GOOD ones, so when he asked for THAT one, I said he could certainly take it.

Then after work, I went to Anytime Fitness to go tanning and guess who was there?

Jim.

sigh

So, I talked to him for a bit and it was pretty awkward. We talked about the dinner tonight and if he got to the house or not. And then I said since both tanning booths were full, I was just gonna head home.

He came outside just as I started my car and so I had to roll down the window to hear what he wanted to say.

All he said was, "I miss you."

Yikes. What could I say to THAT?

I could LIE and tell him that I missed him, too.

But I didn't want to do that. Because it would be a total lie.

So, I just nodded my head in acknowledgement and he walked away again. It looked like he was crying.

Ouch.

I hate that.

I don't want to hurt anyone, but I also don't want to give him any false hope, either.

So, I tried to shake it off. That was hard to do.

Until I got home and I called Dave to come over and help me install my new bathroom fan, which was the plan for the day.

And we did it. And it works GREAT. Keeping busy with a project was JUST the thing to get my mind off of other issues.

Then I took Dave out for some fast food for dinner for helping me and then I dropped him off at his house, took care of some cleaning stuff at mine and went to bed early.

it was a pretty good day, considering.

Okay, well I am outta here in about five minutes, so I better gather my mail together and start closing shop.

Oh, and Bossy Man? totally forgot I was taking half day off.

He said something about all the work he was going to give me this afternoon!!

LOL

He was a bit disappointed that I was going to be gone this afternoon, but HE signed the stupid time off request slip, so he SHOULD have remembered.

But, he gave me enough work to do this morning, anyway.

Okay, now REALLY gotta go.
