<< New phone, new shoes AND dinner out!! What more could a girl ask? >>
2009-03-20, 6:37 a.m.

Quite the long day yesterday.

Work was SOOO busy.

Well, after the first three hours anyway.

Bossy Man did not send me ANYTHING to do for the first three hours of the day.

And since I can no longer get onto Pogo at work, it was a LONG, BORING three hours.

Thank God for books!!!

But once he started sending me stuff around 10:00, there was no stopping him!!!

I had WAY too much to do. Database entries and then job leads letters and reports.

Oh my God, the reports!!!

Too many. In fact, I still have one left to do and here I am, on diaryland.

Well, first things first, you know.

after work, I went to the Sprint store to talk to the peeps about my account.

when I was in the Mall of America over the weekend, I stopped by the Sprint store and talked to a dude there about my account and my issues with it.

ie: the fact that I have no landline and only 450 anytime minutes.

And that I am thinking of switching over since my contract was completed in January.

And that I want a new phone, but don't want to pay much for it.

And that I have horrible reception in my house.

And that I LIKE the fact that my nights and weekend free minutes start at 7:00 p.m., whereas all the other carriers start at 9:00 p.m.

Yeah. It was a lot of complaining to the dude.

But he helped me out by telling me that Sprint WILL give me three numbers that I can talk to without being charged against my minutes. All I have to do it tell the corporate office that I am cancelling Sprint due to them not offering that service.

Who would have thought?

So, while I did not do it that day....still wanted to think about it, I decided to do it once I got home.

AND the dude (Steve is his name) told me that Sanyo phones are the best for reception, so I picked out one of those.

Oh, wait...hold on. Bossy Man just sent me an urgent file to transcribe..

Be right back.

Okay. I'm back.

Anyway, I went to the Sprint store yesterday HERE and they had never heard of Sprint offering three free numbers.

But I made her call and, sure enough, I got my free numbers.

hee hee hee

AND I picked out my phone. It's PINK!!

I am so NOT a pink person, but the phone is really cute and I do like to have something a little different than the plain, old black phone.

Oh, and on top of everything else I got, I also got a 10% discount for being a member of a credit union. hee hee hee

And the icing on the cake? THEY transferred all my phone numbers to the new phone for me. No reentering them all!!!! do do do!!!

so, got my phone, and went home.

I had typed so much during the day that my wrist was SCREAMING so I decided to take the night off from painting.

I got home. Called Dave. Asked him if he was hungry. (he was) Offered to take him out for dinner. Which we did.

He then took me to the mall as a surprise and bought me a new pair of Nikes. Mine were getting a bit old. He had all the salesmen agreeing with him that my RED Nikes just HAD TO GO and that BLUE is much more my color. It goes better with my standard uniform of jeans.

So, who was I to argue? I let them pamper me and I got new shoes.

Gotta love shoes!!!!

Then we went back home. Dave dropped me off and I went in to get some stuff done around the house. Dishes, laundry, playing with my new phone. hee hee hee

then I went back over to Dave's for an hour. I was asked to come into work early today because Bossy Man waited (again!!!) for the last minute to complete a report he needed before he left his office this morning at 7:15.

Yeah. My usual hours are 7:00 to 3:30, but I went in early today. Got here at 6:30. Got the report done and sent on its way.

It's all good.

I still have some files from yesterday to finish AND I was just sent some more database entries. So, this morning, at least, will be busy.

Who knows about the afternoon. Bossy Man said that he gave me so much work yesterday that I should have an easier day today.

I will most likely NOT be able to finish painting tonight since Dave has a sales appointment at 6:30 in Bemidji and he asked me to go on the ride with him. Bemidji is about two hours away and he will drop me off at the casino in Walker, about one hour away, and then go to his appointment, come back and gamble a bit with me.

That means I will be in the casino for around 4 hours, three on my own, and one with Dave. and then the drive back home again.

It should be a LONG day.

I still haven't made up my mind totally on whether I am going or not. I can wait until the last minute to decide, of course, since he has to go anyway.

Okay. I guess I will get my stuff done here before I waste any more time.

Have a happy Friday!! It may NOT be a nap day for me!

<< welcome >>
